We're delighted to announce the arrival of DryGro to the community. We sat down with CEO Sean Peters who explains everything DryGro!
WHO AND WHAT ARE DRYGRO?
DryGro is an agriculture technology company that has developed a new method to grow animal feed crops in desert environments using 99% less water than conventional agriculture. We're growing a high-protein crop similar to soybean meal, and have been in development for just over two years. We started at Oxford University, and currently have labs up at Rothamsted Research in Harpenden.
WHO ARE THE TEAM?
Our engineers, Michael Zhao, Kristian Nedyalkov and Nathan Day, will be working out of Sustainable Bridges over the summer. Sean Peter (CEO) and Brendan Cawley (CTO) will be floating in and out of town.
WHAT ARE YOUR FUTURE PLANS?
We are launching our first infrastructure project in Kenya, about an hour outside of Nairobi in the Lake Naivasha district, and we will be moving our team there. If any of you will be in Kenya, please do reach out - we would love to grab a beer down south!
We're largely in stealth mode (Shhh!) so there are certain things we aren't talking about, but we would love to meet you and find out about your company. Come visit us in the central desk area located at the front of arch 2.
