Come one, come all! For a 3rd year, SHS has funding from the Department of Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (it used to be Department of Energy and Climate Change) in conjunction with National Energy Action to help people understand their energy bills, compare tariffs and switch when it makes sense.
Last year, SHS helped 19 people in the Bridges to do just that. During the week of 31 October, SHS will offer a lunch-and-learn information session (complete with free food) and an opportunity for one-to-one advice on your fuel bills and switching.
Why
It’s estimated you can save over £200 per year by comparing and switching to the most appropriate tariff
And if that’s not enough, you’ll learn things like…
Energy companies switch you onto the LEAST affordable (standard) tariff when your contract expires
What your rights are to compare/switch if you are a renter
The rules about how data is displayed on comparison sites are changing
